Formed in 1989, Stump Hollow has since played bluegrass festivals in Central New York , Maine and Northern Pennsylvania . They have proudly opened for Norman Wright & Kevin Church, the Larry Stephenson Band, the Warrior River Boys, and the Dry branch Fire Squad. You can also catch Stump Hollow locally at the popular Utica Monday Night summer concert series, on the Adirondack Railroad, at Unity Hall in Barneveld and the Festival of the Arts in Remsen, New York.

"Fiddle In the Attic" is an original by the group's mandolin picker, Lori Thompson, and is the title song of the group's forthcoming CD. Lori has also released her own project “ Little Bit of Love “ on May 21,2005 and is available at Tall Cotton Music. Other band members include fiddler Ed Entwistle, Chris Pepe on banjo, Suzanne Privett on bass,
Phil Hustead on Dobro and guitarist Carl Stump.
